Our Lady of Grace has an active Safeguard the Children (STC) Committee chaired by a parishioner and school parent. Other members include: the Director of Religious Education, the School Principal, the Business Manager, the Director of Faith Formation, and the Director of Youth Ministry. Meetings are held quarterly or more often as needed.
The mission of Our Lady of Grace STC Committee is to provide our community with education, to prevent child abuse, and to offer a healing and welcoming environment to those who have been abused.

Who is required to attend the VIRTUS® Protecting God's Children™ Program?
All clergy, parish/school personnel and volunteers, regardless of whether they work with or around children, are required to attend a VIRTUS session, “Protecting God’s Children” adult awareness training session.
Who is required to submit to a background check in the form of fingerprinting by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles?
All clergy, parish/school personnel and volunteers who work regularly in a supervisory role with children or youth must be fingerprinted. Any volunteer who supervises or is perceived to supervise children in any way.
Additional Safety Training
Religious Education volunteers, students and their parents take part in the ”Teaching Touching Safety” or other approved safe environment education program.
