Cheerleading (for grades 6, 7, and 8)

Try-outs for the cheerleading team are conducted in May each year. Students from grades five, six, and seven are eligible to try-out for the squad. Eligibility is based on the school’s extra curricular activity participation policy which states a student must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in all subjects, and that the conduct grade must be above average.

A separate Cheerleader Contract and Policy is signed and submitted each year by parents, cheerleader, coach, and principal.

Cheer season begins in August with a cheer training camp, and then continues through April.

Cheerleaders attend home games, pep rallies, and compete in 3 to 5 competitions each year.
